چکیده

P. Börnert, B. Aldefeld, K. Nehrke, H. Eggers Philips Research Laboratories, Hamburg, Germany Synopsis Coronary MR angiography (CMRA) can benefit in the future from the principles of molecular imaging. Specific contrast agents will offer the opportunity to image arterial plaque directly, if appropriate image contrasts (T1 or T2*) can be introduced. Spiral imaging has been shown to be robust and efficient for CMRA, and reversed spiral imaging can generate strong T2* weighting. In this work, the applicability of free breathing, submillimeter 2D and 3D reversed spiral coronary MRA with strong T2* contrast was studied in the view of future contrast agent developments.

Application of 64-slice spiral computed tomography angiography in a follow-up evaluation after coronary stent implantation: A Chinese clinical study

Background: This study assessed the application value of 64-slice spiral computed tomography angiography (CTA) in a follow-up evaluation of patients receiving coronary stent implantation. Materials and Methods: A total of 468 patients who underwent percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) at our hospital between January 2013 and October 2016 were selected for this study. Coronary angiography an...

Prospective-triggered high-pitch spiral versus sequential dual-source CT coronary angiography: comparison of image quality and radiation dose

Background: Prospectively electrocardiography (ECG)-triggered high-pitch spiral coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA) is a unique scan mode for dual-source CT (DSCT). Our reports aim to compare image quality and radiation dose of CCTA using high-pitch spiral or sequential acquisition mode in patients with low and stable heart rates. Materials and Methods: Patients with low and stable ...

Coronary CT versus MR angiography: the role of MR angiography.

q RSNA, 2011 Coronary artery disease (CAD) is the most frequent cause of death in many developed countries ( 1 ), and there is a strong need for a noninvasive test that can reliably be used to delineate CAD without the use of ionizing radiation. Coronary magnetic resonance (MR) angiography has a history of nearly 20 years, and considerable technical advances have been made during this period ( ...

Spiral magnetic resonance coronary angiography with rapid real-time localization.

A spiral high-resolution coronary artery imaging sequence (SH) interfaced with real-time localization system (RT) has been developed. A clinical study of 40 patients suspected of coronary artery disease (CAD) was conducted. Segmented k-space acquisition techniques have dominated magnetic resonance coronary angiography (MRCA) over the last decade. Although a recent multicenter trial using this t...

Coronary MR angiography.

Coronary MR angiography has developed rapidly over the past several years. Not only is research being performed at academic centers but industry is also investing in dedicated contrast agents and cardiac MR imaging platforms. Although current coronary MR angiography has limited clinical utility, its place within the assessment of ischemic cardiac disease is evolving. The technology currently un...
